Your New Ally: The Seneschal

What sets the Season of the Construct apart is that players will have a mechanized companion called the Seneschal by their side. Not only will the Seneschal provide assistance in combat, but it can also deflect attacks and heal players. The Seneschal serves as the primary power-gain system for this season and has its own management interface. It can be customized with specialized stones to support your playstyle. Twelve different governing stones and 27 tuning stones offer a variety of upgradable advantages and abilities.

Arcane Tremors and Seasonal Enemies

Arcane Tremors will now appear on the map. These areas are infested with elemental constructs, the new seasonal enemies. By defeating these enemies, players can obtain season-specific items and loot. Seasonal activities can be tracked in the Gatehall, a central headquarters located beneath Kehjistan. Here, players will find the usual merchants and portals that provide access to various zones of Sanctuary.

New Challenges in the Vaults

Season of the Construct introduces a new type of dungeon called the Vaults. These dungeons feature deadlier and more complex traps, known as hazards. Players start each Vault run with a stackable buff called Zoltun's Warding, which decreases when they take damage from hazards. At the end of the Vault, a chest awaits the players, and the quality of the reward depends on how well the Warding buff stack can be maintained. Pearls of Warding can also be exchanged for Zoltun's Warding at the beginning of a Vault run to increase the risk/reward factor.

Gauntlets: A New Type of Dungeon

Another addition is the Gauntlets, which will not be immediately available but are set to arrive "soon." These dungeons allow players to compete for the highest scores either solo or in a group, with leaderboards separated by group size. Gauntlets last for one week and have a static structure and enemy configuration to ensure that all players face the same challenges. At the start of a new week, a new Gauntlet appears with updated leaderboards.

Leaderboards and Rewards

Players can climb the leaderboards by completing activities and challenges. The top 100 players will be highlighted, with the top 10 earning a permanent spot in the Hall of the Ancients. High-ranking players will earn medals that they can display in their newly redesigned profiles.

Quality Improvements and New Features

In addition to the new challenges, Season of the Construct also brings quality improvements, such as an additional stash tab and WASD keyboard controls. Helltides will now always be active (with a 5-minute reset pause per hour), in addition to a skill tree re-spec mode, increased chances of obtaining powerful items starting at level 75, updates to the gold trading interface, more ways to earn Beast in Ice summoning items, and much more.
