New features in Diablo IV 4 with the 1.2.1 patch
Blizzard has just unveiled some of the new Diablo IV 4 features coming with the 1.2.1 patch after the major Season of Blood update.
Diablo IV 4 has got me incredibly excited with its upcoming second season, the Season of Blood. Alongside the vampiric content, Blizzard is also introducing its big 1.2.0 update with a variety of class changes and new gameplay features.
The long-awaited Respec feature
While the patch and its accompanying season are already exciting, the developer has looked even further ahead and unveiled some major 1.2.1 additions, such as a customizable training dummy and a highly requested Respec button.
This manual Respec system will no longer be available in 1.2.1. Joseph Piepiora, an Associate Game Director at Blizzard, describes the new, much easier method and confirms that it will come as a "Paragon Board Respec button" and will function as a complete reset, rather than at the board level.
The customizable training dummy
You no longer have to be a math genius to see how well your build is performing. If you hate calculations like I do, get ready for the best addition to Diablo IV 4 - the training dummy! That's right, 1.2.1 will introduce a customizable training dummy.
In Blizzard's latest livestream discussing the upcoming season and the content that follows, the developers mention that the game will receive a "target dummy that you can actually practice builds on" and "test different items."
A preview of the patch
The developer states that the "easier Respecs" and training dummy system will arrive "sometime in late October" after the second season but "before BlizzCon," which takes place in November.
While we don't have an exact release date for the launch of 1.2.1, we do know that the release date for the Season of Blood is getting closer, which means both patches will arrive right in time for the spooky season.
