Take root: New features and creatures
In the latest update of Don't Starve Together, called "Take root", survivors are faced with new challenges. Rifts with lunar energy open up in the world, either by defeating the Celestial Champion or through server settings. Strange creatures emerge from these rifts, with a particular interest in gardening. With the right workbench, powerful equipment can even be crafted from them. This update is part of a three-part series of updates in the "From Beyond" arc and is now available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Nintendo Switch will follow shortly.
The 10-year anniversary of Don't Starve
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Don't Starve, the developers have prepared some gifts for the players. There is a high-resolution poster for self-printing available for free on the Klei Rewards page. In addition, signed and unsigned vignette versions have been added to Don't Starve Together. The original Don't Starve has been extensively updated! The changes include many bug fixes, balance adjustments, and quality improvements.
Free Anniversary Login Bonus and New Skins
As a special thank you, all players who log in during the anniversary period in Don't Starve Together will receive the Celebratory Science Machine and the Celebratory Cake Chest for free. Additionally, there are new skins available for purchase in the game.
Thank You to All Streamers
The developers are thanking all streamers who support the game by giving them 10 bundle codes for item skins and a bonus code for 10,000 spools to give to their viewers. In total, over 3000 codes are available.
Developers' Own Stream
Later today, the developers will host their own stream where they will talk about "Roots" and reveal some information about the next update and the "From Beyond" arc.
New Twitch Drops and Merchandise Items
A new set of streaming drops is available on Twitch.tv. For more information, check out this post. New merchandise items are available in the Klei Store, including a Puft plushie, Soft Spots, and a limited Don't Starve 10th Anniversary shirt. Additionally, two posters have been restocked and five new ones have been added.
