Dragon Age: Dreadwolf - New Locations Revealed

The excitement builds with the new trailer

Are you already looking forward to Dragon Age: Dreadwolf? A new trailer has just been released, giving fans a glimpse of the game's fantastic new landscapes. And it hints at a new, non-egg-headed threat.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is the long-awaited fourth installment in the Dragon Age RPG game series. Although BioWare has not yet announced a release date, the new trailer should give fans plenty to think about.

Stunning new places await you

What does this new trailer called "Thedas Calls" reveal? First of all, it showcases some of the new locations that will appear in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, and they are absolutely spectacular.

According to EA, in Dreadwolf, players will be able to explore Avtiva and Rivain. These places have only been mentioned before, but players haven't had a chance to visit them yet.

Monsters and threats

However, monsters will probably try to kill you when you arrive, but that doesn't mean you can't admire the scenery while your head is flying through the air.

The story behind Dreadwolf

The trailer, released on December 4th, Dragon Age Day, also offers some potential story tidbits. The title refers to Solas, an elven mage who is actually an ancient elven god known as the "Dread Wolf". You can bet that he's not looking for hugs, but his motives are still somewhat unclear.

"The whole world will soon share the peace and comfort of my rule," says a voice at the end of the trailer. This gravelly voice doesn't sound anything like Gareth David-Lloyd, who voiced Solas in Dragon Age: Inquisition. So unless he has a new voice actor, this is another threat altogether.

More news and updates

When can you learn more? The trailer ends with the confirmation that a full unveiling of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will take place in summer 2024. Therefore, I would be surprised if Dreadwolf is released before 2025.

But for fans, it's a confirmation that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is not dead, and I hope that when it does come out, it will be a story worth the wait.
