Dragon Age: Dreadwolf reportedly not releasing this year - New hints on the possible release of the long-awaited BioWare RPG

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf - Will we have to wait even longer for the RPG?

After it initially seemed like the long-awaited BioWare RPG Dragon Age: Dreadwolf could finally be released this year, the latest financial report from EA is causing concern. According to the report, the game may not be released until after April 2024.

It has been about eight and a half years since the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition. The fourth installment of the popular Dragon Age series apparently had a difficult development phase before the current single-player version of the game gained momentum after the launch of Anthem.

EA financial report suggests later release for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

A look at EA's financial results for the fourth quarter of the 2023 fiscal year reveals which games EA is likely to release in the 2024 fiscal year. This period runs from April 1 of this year to March 31, 2024. The list includes upcoming titles such as Super Mega Baseball 4, F1 23, Immortals of Aveum, Madden 23, EA Sports FC, NHL 24, and two unannounced games. However, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is nowhere to be found on this list.

Other EA games that we know are in development – such as Skate., Project Rene, Motive's Iron Man game, Respawn Entertainment's additional Star Wars games, and the next Mass Effect – are also missing from this list. Of course, it is possible that EA considers a 2023 release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf a secret or questions the release timeframe. But if EA intentionally excluded the game, it likely means that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will not be released before March 31, 2024.

Fans may have to wait even longer

For BioWare fans, this news is certainly disappointing as they hope the developer will redeem itself after the rather disappointing launches of Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem. However, players will likely appreciate it if BioWare takes as much time as it needs to make Dragon Age: Dreadwolf as good as possible.

We will, of course, keep you updated as more information about the release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf becomes available. Until then, we have no choice but to wait patiently and not give up hope that the game will ultimately live up to high expectations.
