DREDGE Roadmap 2023: New Content Overview

The development team of DREDGE has released the roadmap for 2023. Get ready for numerous free updates and some paid DLCs. The planned innovations include new game modes, boat customization, and a photo mode. We can also expect exciting map changes and the Ironhaven DLC throughout the year.

The Planned Updates in Detail

The roadmap provides insight into the various updates planned for DREDGE. Here is a brief overview of the most important changes:

Map Changes

The first free update in May will introduce enhanced functionality to the in-game map. The addition of map markers will allow for better navigation between different locations. Additionally, this update will include some bug fixes and balancing adjustments.

New Game Modes

Two new modes will be introduced in the second update: the Passive Mode and the Photo Mode. The Passive Mode is aimed at players who prefer a less intense gaming experience. Monsters that normally attack fishing boats will no longer be aggressive, allowing players to focus on fishing and the peaceful environment.

The Photo Mode is an innovative addition to DREDGE. Instead of simply adding a menu option, the development team is taking a different approach. The Photo Mode will include the introduction of a new in-game character who will help players unlock their camera skills and provide hints on where to find local sea creatures as subjects for their photography.

Boat Customization

The third free update will bring boat customizations such as color schemes and flags. As you explore the coasts and marshlands of DREDGE, you will be able to unlock new color schemes and flags for your fishing boat. More information on updates two and three will follow later in the year.

Ironhaven DLC

As a crowning finale, the development team is planning a paid and completely optional DLC called Ironhaven. The mysterious Ironhaven Corporation plans to launch an innovative drilling operation in the area to revive cities and populations. As you gather materials to build new structures and harvest biomass, you will encounter new characters, craft new equipment, and catch new fish – and possibly uncover the truth behind their potentially sinister operations.
