What about the predecessors of Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires?

This was announced for the first time at the renowned Tokyo Game Show 2020. The new title is to be released for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, but also for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. With this, Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires will also be the first title in the series to be released on the new console generation.
In first presentations of the game, the developers also shared first information about the gameplay. With this new release, Koei Tecmo wants to leave the open world of the main title behind and develop the series content-wise. The DNS of the series - epic battles in historical China - remains. Typical for the Dynasty Warriors series is the so-called 1 vs. 1000 action, in which the player can fight through hordes of enemies, in Empires the strategic element takes precedence over the main series.
