The Elder Scrolls 6 - Years until release

Microsoft confirms: The Elder Scrolls 6 is coming later

Hey gamers, we have news for you - and unfortunately, it's not the best news. Your highly anticipated adventure in the world of The Elder Scrolls 6 will have to wait a little longer. New court documents from Microsoft and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reveal that the release date for the upcoming Bethesda role-playing game will be at least a few years away.

After the success of Starfield, the new RPG hit on Steam and Game Pass, all eyes are eagerly awaiting the release date of The Elder Scrolls 6. But it seems like our dreams of continuing the epic saga of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim will have to wait a while longer.

At least three more years until the new Elder Scrolls game

Yes, you heard it right. According to Microsoft, the release date for The Elder Scrolls 6 is still "to be confirmed," but it is not expected before 2026. That means we are at least three years away from a new Elder Scrolls game. The wait may be disappointing, but remember: good things take time, especially for a mammoth project like this.

Platforms for The Elder Scrolls 6

And where will you be able to play this long-awaited masterpiece? Well, the same documents list Xbox and PC as the currently planned platforms for The Elder Scrolls 6. Who knows, maybe more platforms will be added by then.

What you can do in the meantime

Don't worry, we won't leave you hanging. While you wait for ES6, there are plenty of other fantastic games you can try out. How about revisiting Skyrim, for example? Or are you curious about the release date of Fallout 5 and what Bethesda has planned for its other big series?
