Escape From Tarkov Arena Beta
Hey gamers! Are you a fan of hardcore first-person shooters? Well, get ready to strap on your helmet because the Escape From Tarkov Arena Beta is just around the corner! The development studio, Battlestate Games, is gearing up to launch its first round of beta testing. COO Nikita Buyanov confirmed at Dreamhack Hannover that the first beta invites will be sent out after the ongoing tournament, with more waves to follow.
Escape From Tarkov Arena takes its hardcore FPS mechanics and brings them into a turn-based format, promising both PvP and PvE game modes. While the original Tarkov played a significant role in popularizing the "extraction shooter" genre, EFT Arena is a much smaller, turn-based FPS title.
What can I expect in the Escape From Tarkov Arena Beta?
At Dreamhack Hannover, we got a good look at the new game. Six professional esports teams are competing in its first tournament for a prize pool of 100,000 euros. In between the sessions, Buyanov unveiled a new trailer for the game, which he then referred to as the 'closed beta test launch trailer'.
"So tomorrow, right after the end of the tournament, we will start the beta test with the first waves," Buyanov confirms. "So tomorrow is the start of the Arena." The first wave starts on Sunday, December 17th.
How can I participate in the beta?
Well, that's the question of all questions! Although Buyanov hasn't provided any details yet on who will be invited to this first round, he will answer additional questions during a Q&A session at Dreamhack. So we will update this story when more details are revealed there.
