The hardcore shooter Escape from Tarkov, which enriches the genre with its innovative game concept, has been delighting the player base since July 2017 with a closed beta. Prove yourself in war
The setting of the MMO shooter is the namesake Russian city of Tarkov in the Norvinsk region, where a serious conflict has established itself. As a result, the metropolis, which serves as a special economic zone between the European states and Russia, was sealed off by both sides.
In the course of the hostilities, the two organizations USEC and BEAR face each other as parties, which are private military companies. For which of the two sides you engage as a mercenary is up to you. In addition to human enemies, AI opponents also await you in the city, so you always have to be on your guard.
Save your loot
In Tarkov, it's all about collecting valuable loot and leaving the city within the time limit. If you succeed, you save your collected goods in your hideout. If the time is not enough or your character dies, all the effort was in vain and you have to say goodbye to the painstakingly collected objects of each round. With your progress, you gradually improve your equipment and have the opportunity to buy new objects from the traders.
Realism on all fronts
Escape from Tarkov is particularly convincing with its realism. This not only applies to the locations themselves, which range from military facilities to factories to residential complexes. Also the day-night change or the different health stages of your character, to which, for example, bruises, poisoning symptoms or also fractures belong, provide a credible presentation. In addition, there is a realistic ballistics of the bullets as well as complications in the use of weapons, such as wear and tear, loading jams or too much heat development.

The shooter is currently available in four editions. Here you will find out which one is best for you. All editions give you immediate access to the beta as well as access to the digital edition of the game at release.
However, the size of your in-game hideout varies depending on the edition. It ranges from 10x28 cells in the standard version to 10x38 and 10x48 cells in the Left Behind and Prepare for Escape editions, up to 10x68 cells in the Edge of Darkness Limited Edition.
