The Moon is Back in Euro Truck Simulator 2
Attention virtual truck drivers, the long-awaited update 1.49 for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is now available on Steam! And it brings the moon back into your driver's cabin! But that's just one of the many new features that this update has to offer.
A big thank you to everyone who participated in the open beta phase and supported the developers with their feedback. Your contributions have greatly helped them fix bugs and further improve the gaming experience.
Used Trucks and Improved Damage System
Another highlight of the update is the introduction of used trucks. These naturally come with a few kilometers on the clock and bring their own unique charm. In line with this, the damage and repair system has been reworked and improved.
New Features and Improvements
But the update has even more to offer: The skyboxes have been revamped and now support High Dynamic Range (HDR), which provides even more realistic colors in the sky. Additionally, there are new weather effects that make the driving experience even more immersive.
And as if that wasn't enough, you can also look forward to the introduction of keybind modifiers. This gives you the ability to use combinations of keys and modifiers for controls.
Lastly, there is a feature that many have been waiting for: automatic headlights! Once the light around your truck drops below a certain value, the headlights will automatically turn on. A small feature that can make a big difference!
