In video games, players can also let out their dark side once in a while. This is exactly what the developer Rebellion has recognized and will be releasing Evil Genius 2: World Domination at the end of March, a game in which you strive for nothing less than world domination. To do this, you build your own base in the strategy game, train professional villains and forge a plan to overthrow governments and seize control.
What initially looks quite dark is already defused by the colorful comic graphics. The animations and graphic style resemble titles such as Fortnite or Pixar films, which gives the game its own charm. Furthermore, the game itself is also not taking itself too seriously in terms of game mechanics and content. You assign each of your villains to their own island, where you then build a base.
Things are really heating up in the bases soon. For example, you can research new weapons with crazy scientists, get your henchmen in shape in futuristic fitness studios, or set up large safes to store your loot from the last robbery. You can also look forward to all kinds of fun surprises, such as winning over the British royal family and then selling them to the highest bidder.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination thus skilfully picks up on the ideas of its predecessor from 2004 and introduces many new contemporary ideas. So if you're mainly interested in entertaining strategy games and the colorful comic graphics don't put you off, you should already mark the 30th of March 2021 in your calendar, when Evil Genius 2: World Domination is released.
