Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update - Where are the Updates?
The Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update was announced back in October of last year. Bethesda promised an enhanced and updated version of the RPG for 2023. Now, as the end of 2023 approaches, news about the Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update is scarce or sporadic.
A former Bethesda executive is now shedding some light on the current status of the update. Pete Hines, who has worked on almost every major Bethesda release for over 20 years, responds to a Fallout 4 fan's question about the status of the Next-Gen Update. "I tried to get an update before I left," Hines replies, "but nothing concrete that I could share."
What can we expect from the Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update?
A resolution of 4K, a higher frame rate, performance improvements - all of this should be available by the end of 2023, according to Bethesda. But currently, the new version of Fallout 4 is nowhere to be found.
Bethesda might still surprise us
There isn't much that Hines reveals to us, but it suggests that the Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update could still be a little way off. With the expected release of the Fallout TV series in April 2024, the Next-Gen Update could possibly be released simultaneously. Or perhaps Bethesda will surprise us just before the end of this year. We just have to hope and wait.
