Fallout 76 - Fallout 76 - wakes up to new life

With Fallout 76, Bethesda took new steps in November 2018 and expanded the popular post-apocalyptic RPG series Fallout with a new MMO. Unlike in the regular editions of the game series, not only single-player fans can now enjoy themselves, but also all those who want to explore the wasteland of Appalachia together with friends or fight each other.

Many years after the nuclear destruction of the world, the bunker facilities, called Vaults, are opened in Fallout 76 and offer you the opportunity to discover the devastated world step by step, in which numerous mutated creatures roam. You follow the records of the Vault's supervisor and gradually learn what has happened in Appalachia.

The main criticism at release was the lack of NPCs, as in the original version the player could only experience the story through documents, audio recordings or interactions with robots. In April 2020, Bethesda finally delivered the big Wastelanders update, which was made available free of charge to all owners of Fallout 76. In it, Appalachia is finally populated by numerous NPCs who have returned to the wasteland a year after the opening of Vault 76. The Wastelanders update thus not only brings residents, traders and dialogues into the game, but also a completely new story that can be experienced independently of the progress in the original Fallout 76 story.

With the release of the Wastelanders update, the premium membership Fallout 1st, which Bethesda presented in 2019, also comes back into the consciousness of the players. This can be paid monthly or annually and offers subscribers numerous advantages compared to the regular account. Fallout 1st is therefore particularly interesting for those who want to experience their own Appalachia together with friends. Those who subscribe to Fallout 1st have access to their own private world, which they can share with up to seven other players. In this way you play Fallout 76 exclusively with friends and no longer have to deal with other players. Fallout 1st also gives you unlimited storage space for manufacturing components, so you no longer have to hold back when looting. With the survival tent you also have an additional fast travel point available, which you can place anywhere in Appalachia. In addition to the fast travel function, this also offers a camp with storage space and sleeping accommodation.

In addition, Fallout 1st subscribers receive:

  • a monthly Atomic Shop budget
  • a special Ranger outfit, and
  • emotes and icons to help them stand out from regular players
