Final Fantasy 14 was crowned Online Game of the Year at the DICE 2023 Awards on February 23rd. Game Director Naoki Yoshida hopes the game will be even better this year, as Final Fantasy 14 celebrates its ten-year anniversary of the re-release with A Realm Reborn. This was saved by Yoshida a few years prior after a disastrous start.
Yoshida's Anniversary Plans
To celebrate the anniversary, Yoshida plans to increase the enthusiasm both within and outside of the game. The Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest events will take place later this year in Las Vegas and London, and will be visited by Yoshida himself. Along with his team, he has big plans for 2023, including something "flashy" for the game's ten-year anniversary.
New Expansion with Higher Level Cap
The next big expansion of Final Fantasy 14 will take the game to a new level. With the expansion, the level cap will be raised to 100.
