Final Fantasy XVI - PC version officially confirmed

The good news for PC gamers

Hey, gamer friends! Have you heard the birds singing from the rooftops? Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy XVI, has finally made it official. Yes, you heard it right, a PC version of Final Fantasy XVI is in the works! Originally, the game was only announced as an exclusive title for the Playstation 5. But now Yoshida has announced that the community's desire for a PC version did not go unheard. So, rev up your gaming rigs and get ready!

First DLC on the horizon

And that's not all. Along with the good news about the PC version, there were also updates about a first major patch and DLC for FF16. So far, there haven't been any concrete plans for a DLC. But it seems that the positive sales numbers and the enthusiastic feedback from fans have convinced Square Enix to change their minds. What exactly the DLC will offer is currently unknown. However, a recently released update already promises alternative costumes for characters and other exciting features.

Patience is required - Optimization takes time

But before we get too excited, the work on the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI has indeed begun, but its release will still take some time. As Yoshida emphasized, optimizing such a version is a matter of time and resources. It cannot simply be done within half a year.

Until then, all we can do is wait... or can we?

Not quite! While we eagerly await the PC version, we can at least look forward to the upcoming DLC. And who knows? Yoshida might give us more information about both the PC version and the DLC by the end of the year.

Conclusion: A great day for all Final Fantasy fans

In short, it was a great day for all Final Fantasy fans out there! The announcement of a PC version of Final Fantasy XVI and a first DLC are fantastic news for all franchise enthusiasts. Now all we have to do is wait (and maybe hope a little) for when we can finally get our hands on these new contents.

Until then, let's keep our fingers crossed and eagerly follow what Square Enix will conjure up next!
