Under the working title Project Athia, Square Enix announced an ambitious new project for the PlayStation 5 and PC in 2020. As the company announced as part of a digital event, Project Athia will be called Forspoken in its final version.
Forspoken is being developed by Square Enix's internal studio Luminous Productions and focuses on the young heroine Frey Holland. Frey is played by Ella Balinska, known from the remake of Charlie's Angels, and finds herself in the fantastic world of Athia.
According to official information, you will experience a supernatural and adventurous journey in Forspoken and will be confronted with dangerous tests that you must master in order to solve the dark secret of Athia. In terms of gameplay, the action role-playing game is primarily designed to impress with its dynamic gameplay, open world and its varied tasks.
In the technical area, however, the developers of Luminous Productions are making intensive use of the technical possibilities of the PlayStation 5 and the current PC hardware, promising among other things an impressive graphics and support for the ray tracing technology.
