Fortnite Leak: Transformers Crossover & Tropical Setting
Get ready to pack your bags and prepare for the jungle, because Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3 is going tropical. According to new Fortnite leaks, however, that's not the biggest highlight - it's the alleged release date of the Fortnite Optimus Prime skin. It looks like a Fortnite Transformers crossover is coming to one of the best Battle Royale games for PS5 and Xbox.
According to current leaks from the well-known leaker "HYPEX," the release date of the Fortnite Optimus Prime skin is set for Friday, June 9, 2023, at 2:00 a.m. ET/11:00 p.m. PT and 7:00 a.m. BST. With the approaching release date of Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3, new and returning island inhabitants will be able to experience the leader of the Autobots in the game. HYPEX shared a leaked screenshot of the key art for Chapter 4, Season 3 and claims that "Season 3 is now confirmed to be tropical-themed and Fortnite is also collaborating with Transformers, with Optimus Prime included in the Battle Pass."
Optimus Prime Skin: Release Date & Details
If Optimus Prime is set to appear with the next Fortnite Battle Pass when the current season ends, we could gain access to the skin no later than Sunday, June 11, 2023. Fortnite typically sets a downtime for the end of seasons, which usually takes place on Sundays. However, with Chapter 4 Season 2 ending on June 9, the wait to dive back into the game shouldn't be too long.
The colorful key art shows a lineup of characters running towards the screen, with Optimus Prime joining the fray while presumably wielding his harvesting tool weapon. Optimus Prime has used various alien weapons throughout the Transformers lore, but it would be interesting to see him use a giant sword as his harvesting tool. Epic Games could make that happen.
More Indiana Jones Content Possible?
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 would also be a great opportunity to introduce more Indiana Jones content as the release date for Indiana Jones 5 draws nearer. The previously missing whip as a mythical item would be a great addition. Ideally, it should be introduced as a new harvesting tool instead of using the Staff of Ra from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Current Crossover: Spider-Man & Miles Morales
Currently, players can obtain the Fortnite Miles Morales skin as part of the Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse crossover. Before the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, we're excited about all the Spidey content we can get.
