What is FOUNDRY?
There's some exciting news coming from Paradox! Yes, the creators of hits like Cities Skylines and Stellaris have just unveiled their latest project - the construction game FOUNDRY. This game aims to compete with rivals like Factorio and Satisfactory.
In FOUNDRY, you find yourself on a procedurally generated alien world that Paradox describes as "infinite". Similar to games like Minecraft or any classic construction game, you start by mining and harvesting basic resources for rudimentary machines. Once the foundations are laid, the task becomes more complex. You design and develop conveyor belts to automate production and gradually unlock more technologies and devices to maximize your production.
More than just a building game
What sets FOUNDRY apart from other building games is the freedom it gives to players. Every block in the endless procedurally generated world can be destroyed and used for building. You can construct your factory anywhere you want. Find a beautiful clearing in the forest, dig deep into the darkest underground caves, or build on a rugged mountainside – it's up to you.
Of course, you can play FOUNDRY alone. But why not share the fun? The game supports online or LAN multiplayer, allowing as many players as you want. Paradox suggests that FOUNDRY is best played with two to four people, but if you want even more, you can do that too.
When can I start?
Since FOUNDRY has just been announced, there is no release date yet. But don't worry! A free demo version will be available soon as part of the Steam Next Fest. And if you can't wait, you can also add FOUNDRY to your wishlist starting today.
Once the game is released, you will naturally find your Steam Key with us at Keyfuchs. We are excited to see how FOUNDRY will compete against established competitors and will keep you updated!
Paradox doesn't stand still
FOUNDRY is just one of many exciting releases we can expect from Paradox in the near future. It joins a lineup of upcoming hits like Millennia, a new strategy game with a twist, and of course, the long-awaited sequel to Cities Skylines. Stay tuned and don't miss any updates!
