The Resurrection of Fractured Online
Once abandoned and forgotten after a failed testing phase, the MMORPG Fractured Online is now making a comeback. Developer Dynamight Studios is giving the sandbox game a fresh start after a rocky early access launch in 2022. Since its successful Kickstarter campaign in 2018, the game has had its ups and downs, but now it seems ready to deliver on its promises.
A fresh start for a promising game
Fractured Online is more than just another MMORPG. As an "open-world sandbox MMO-ARPG," it aims to appeal to both competitive fans and cooperative enthusiasts. However, despite its lofty ambitions, the game stumbled over its own success. After initial issues with the original publisher Gamigo, Dynamight took a step back for extensive reworking.
What can players expect in Fractured Online?
With the relaunch of Fractured Online, Dynamight has introduced some exciting new features. Players can now brew alchemical potions, take a break from combat, and enchant their items. Additionally, the Charisma statistic has been replaced with a new Wisdom attribute focused on support, and the game's talent tree has been completed.
New challenges and improvements
Other new additions to Fractured Online include the revamped "Legends," which add a variety of mid- to end-game PvE challenges. Furthermore, Dynamight plans to make the demon race playable during the Early Access phase.
Even more to come
But that's not all! Dynamight also has plans for new city tech development and general improvements to player cities, territorial control, duels, NPCs, and much more. It seems like Fractured Online is ready to make a lasting impression in the world of MMORPGs.
