The Danish video game studio Ghost Ship Games has launched a new publishing division called "Ghost Ship Publishing". The aim of the new branch is to support those game developers who prioritize open communication and a positive player experience. According to Søren Lundgaard, CEO of Ghost Ship Games, the new division will help small developers worldwide build a solid business by providing them with financing and marketing expertise.
Support for Small Developers
Ghost Ship Publishing plans to officially announce its upcoming titles on March 2nd. This announcement follows just one month after Ghost Ship Games announced that Deep Rock Galactic had sold 5.5 million units. Ghost Ship Games was acquired by Embracer in August 2021 along with seven other studios.
By launching Ghost Ship Publishing, small developers who have difficulty publishing their own games will be supported. The new company can provide them with valuable financing and marketing support. Ghost Ship Games itself has already proven successful with Deep Rock Galactic, and the company now wants to pass on this know-how to other developers.
