Sad news for all fans of GOG Connect: The service that allowed you to import selected games from your Steam library into your GOG library has been officially discontinued. Although the site was still accessible on January 1st, no official announcement was made. A GOG spokesperson did confirm, however, that the service is "no longer supported and has been removed from the site".
It wasn't exactly surprising, as the service had been used less and less in recent years, but it's still a shame that you can't get DRM-free extra copies of your Steam games.
Instead, you are now prompted to "connect various platforms and create your own game library" using GOG Galaxy, GOG's own launcher. This attempts to bring together your different game libraries in one application. However, it's not the same as being able to get DRM-free extra copies of your Steam games. So it's a shame that GOG Connect is now quietly going into the past, even though it technically existed in recent years.
