The Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.29 was released on February 20th, 2023 and contains some exciting new features for PS5 players. Here are the main ones:
PlayStation VR2 Upgrade
PS5 players can now experience the races and game modes of the game with a new level of realism, apart from the “2P Split Screen” mode. Players also have access to an exclusive “VR Showroom”, where they can admire high-resolution car models.
Gran Turismo Sophy in Race Together Mode
From February 21st to the end of March, PS5 players can compete against the superhuman racing AI agent “Gran Turismo Sophy”. This was developed in collaboration with Sony AI, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital. The mode offers four tracks that become more difficult with each level.
Grand Valley is back
The classic Gran Turismo track is back, with a new look and the full “Highway 1” layout, connecting fast sections with tight, technical curves. The shorter 2000m “South” variant is also available.
Five new cars
The update also includes five new cars, including the Honda RA272 ’65, an F1 vehicle that brought Honda its first victory, and the Italdesign Exeneo Vision Gran Turismo Street and Off-Road Mode, a powerful luxury car.
