Grand Theft Auto - Is a remaster trilogy coming?

The GTA series is definitely one of the most popular games of all time and has fascinated the gaming community for many years with its gangster stories, open worlds and player freedom. What started out as a 2D game with bird's eye view in Grand Theft Auto and GTA 2 has now developed into a giant third-person action-adventure with its fifth installment being one of the most successful video games of all time.

While the fan base is eagerly waiting for the release of an updated version of GTA V for the new console generation and the release of a sixth installment is probably not too far off, rumors are increasingly circulating about a completely different title from the GTA family.

The forefathers of the modern GTA worlds

In 2001, GTA III set new standards and for the first time in the history of the series introduced an open 3D world. The direct sequels GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, which came out in 2002 and 2004, respectively, are also considered the forefathers of the modern dynamic worlds as we know them from GTA V.

At the time of the PlayStation 2 and the first Xbox, the three parts enthralled countless players around the world and laid the foundation for the current cult status of the GTA series. If you believe the rumors that have been circulating in various GTA forums for some time, these three cult games are to be released in a remastered version for the current consoles. However, these are currently nothing more than rumors, as none of the leaks has yet been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games.

Whether and, if so, when a GTA remaster trilogy will be released is currently still up in the air. But we at Keyfuchs will keep you up to date so that you know immediately when new information about a possible release is available. In the meantime, you can find suitable keys for various parts of the popular GTA series here with us.
