The rumors are fueled by leaks and new information that have surfaced on the internet. Last year there was a massive GTA 6 leak which released more than 90 screenshots and videos. Rockstar, the developer of the game, confirmed the leak and had the leaker arrested, but also left some clues for fans and developers.
A GTA news account shared screenshots that show the game is nearly ready for release. In a Discord group, fans and developers believe Rockstar is just refining the game. The leaked builds are referred to as game_win64_beta.exe and game_win64_debug.exe.
A Big Milestone for GTA 6
It is said that the game will reach the feature complete stage where the UI functionality will be addressed. After that, it will reach the content complete stage where the game functionalities will be completed and playable. Rockstar usually releases the game two years before its final completion.
A teaser or something similar for GTA 6 could be released this year. Fans and developers are definitely looking forward to new information about the game.
