Guild Wars 2 invites you to get spooky
Hello gamer friends, grab your pumpkins and your candy - Halloween is just around the corner! And with it comes the annual festival "Shadow of the Mad King" in Guild Wars 2. What can you expect? Three weeks full of spooky quests, challenging puzzles, and of course, loads of candy corn. But before you dive into the action, let's take a look at the highlights.
New this year
The developers have come up with some special treats this year. First and foremost is the Stopped Clock Tower - a new variation of the familiar Mad King's Clock Tower. Less frantic, but no less exciting. Additionally, you can earn new rewards in the Wizard's Vault and spruce up your costume with four new paper bag helmet skins.
Where to go
Are you ready to face the shadows of the Mad King? First, check your in-game mail. Magister Tassi has sent you an invitation to the realm of the Mad King. The festival hub, as always, is Lion's Arch. Here you will find the Asura gate portals that will transport you into the action - provided you own a Guild Wars 2 expansion or are at least level 35.
What to do
Throughout the festival, the capricious spirit of King Oswald Thorn will appear in Tyria. Your task: Enter Thorn's Mad Realm and face his challenges!
The rewards
- Collect Trick-or-Treat bags and exchange them for various Halloween goodies.
- Candy Corn is the main currency of the festival. You can exchange it for minis, armor skins, recipes, and much more at special vendors.
- Complete the annual Halloween Rituals achievement and earn the Clawing Shadow Greaves.
So, what are you waiting for? Dive into the excitement and experience a Halloween you won't soon forget. And don't forget to share your spookiest moments with us!
