The world of Guild Wars 2 is in turmoil! With yesterday's announcement of Guild Wars 2: Secret of the Obscure, weaponmaster training is also coming into play. But what does that mean for you? Let's dive in!
What is Weaponmaster Training?
Weaponmaster Training is a new expansion that focuses on expanding combat options for each profession. Sounds exciting, right? And the best part is that this feature grants every profession the weapon skills of the elite specialization - regardless of whether you have equipped or even trained in the corresponding elite specialization! That sounds like a lot of fun, and we can't wait to try it out.
How can I participate?
Attention Guild Wars 2 fans! Anyone with a Guild Wars 2 account in good standing (yes, even Play-for-Free accounts) will automatically receive beta-character slots once the beta starts. You can then create a character from one of the nine Guild Wars 2 professions and get started. Whether you want to explore the open world or try out a group gameplay mode - the choice is yours!
But be aware: The beta characters will disappear at the end of the event and any progress made will not be saved - including rewards and currencies. So enjoy the moment!
What's next?
The developers have already announced further updates. In addition to new features for Guild Wars 2: Secret of the Obscure, there will also be details about the next WvW World Restructuring beta. This will allow guilds to form alliances for WvW - an exciting feature that we can look forward to.
