Entropy Zero Uprising – A New Perspective on Half-Life 2
While Valve continues to keep us waiting for Half-Life 3 (yes, we still believe), fans of the legendary Steam FPS game have taken it upon themselves to keep the world and story of Gordon Freeman alive. In 2022, Entropy Zero emerged – a professionally made and extensive mod for Half-Life 2. Now, a completely new campaign called Entropy Zero Uprising follows, where you play as a Civil Protection officer during the climax of the rebellion in the main game.
Returning to the Half-Life 2 Universe with Entropy Zero Uprising
Entropy Zero Uprising is actually a mod for Half-Life 2 Episode Two, but it mainly builds upon the story of Entropy Zero – making it a sort of mod of a mod. Fully voiced and with multiple custom campaign levels, you take on the role of a Civil Protection soldier fighting against the human rebels during the final missions of the original Half-Life 2 story.
New weapons, driving sections, and an original soundtrack
Entropy Zero Uprising not only offers an alternative perspective on the Half-Life 2 story, but also brings some new features to the game. These include new weapons, driving sections, individually designed maps, and even a completely new soundtrack. Do you remember Blue Shift and Opposing Force for the original Half-Life? Entropy Zero and Entropy Zero Uprising serve a similar function: they offer additional DLC-like campaigns that tell the original story from a different perspective.

The best part is: this is just the beginning! More episodes of the Entropy Zero Uprising series are apparently in the works.
