The main components of the Halo Infinite Winter Update are Campaign Co-op and Forge.
The Halo Infinite Winter Update will release on November 8, 2022. Included will be the new Campaign Co-op, Forge Beta, and general Multiplayer expansions.
Campaign Co-op
With the new co-op mode for Campaign, players will be able to play the campaign together. In a new session, the campaign will start at the point where the player with the least progress is currently at. The collectibles will be available for all participants. It is now also possible to repeat missions to get missed skulls and audiologs.
Forge Beta
In the new Forge Beta, up to 7,000 objects can be hosted on a map. In Halo 5 there were only 1,600 objects. Objects are scalable and also a new ability to write own scripts is introduced. With the new scripting language, players can create small variables.
At the start of Forge there will be six map backgrounds, but these will be expanded over time. Bots are also supported by the new beta.
Multiplayer Mode
The Multiplayer mode gets two new maps that were created with Forge. The first map is Argyle, which plays in a closed Forerunner structure. The second map is Detachment, which plays in a UNSC base and houses the first teleporter of Halo Infinite.
New mode Cover One-Flag. This new Capture The Flag mode is actually quite quickly explained. One team of attackers tries to steal the flag from the defenders and bring it to safety. The attackers have unlimited camouflage and the defenders have unlimited threat sensors.
New Match-EP System and Battle Pass
The Match-EP system gives players the opportunity to earn EP for playing. For victories and good performance there are bonus-EP. These EP can be used in the new and free Battle Pass. This Battle Pass contains 30 levels and many cosmetic rewards.
Events
With the release of the update there will be two events. The first event starts directly after the update and is called Winter Contingency 2 and the second update starts in January under the name Joint Fire.
