Back to Reach - Popular Halo prequel finally hits PC
Microsoft's big X019 show wouldn't have been complete without the company's most well-known gaming franchise: In London it was revealed that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which has been available for Xbox One since 2014, will finally be released for PC later this year. The long-awaited port begins with the popular prequel Halo: Reach!
Nostalgic returnees and curious newcomers can circle December 3, 2019, in their calendars when Halo: Reach gives the starting signal for a gradual release of the entire collection. In addition to the eleven missions of the shooter, which was first released on Xbox 360 in 2010, buyers will also have access to 20 multiplayer maps; the well-remembered modes Firefight and Invasion are also included in the package.
Halo Reach - A Look Back
Halo: Reach is the last title in the extremely successful science fiction saga, which was developed by the original developer studio Bungie. In its own mythology, it plays an important role, as it is set in the year 2552. This makes it take place before the 2001 release of Halo: Combat Evolved: In the role of a Spartan from the Noble Team, players fight a desperate battle against the Covenant on the eponymous planet. The outcome of the confrontation is already revealed in the first minutes of the aforementioned first installment, to which Halo: Reach seamlessly picks up - but this does not stand in the way of an exciting campaign.

PC version has been heavily revised
For the return to Reach, PC Spartans are allowed to look forward to extended features. These include, among other things, a representation with 60 FPS and in 4K, FOV slider or ultrawide support. By the way, modern console players will also enjoy (re) enjoyment in early December: Halo: Reach will of course be added to the Xbox One version of the Master Chief Collection at the same time as the start on the PC.
The series is now being looked after by the Microsoft-owned studio 343 Industries, whose next big project is "Halo Infinite". The hotly anticipated sequel is considered a potential highlight for the launch of the next Xbox and could therefore land in store shelves by the end of 2020!
