What is Halo: The Master Chief Collection?
The Halo: The Master Chief Collection is essentially a "best of" compilation of Bungie's legendary sci-fi shooter series. It includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach. With so many titles under one roof, it's easy to accidentally throw a power drain at your teammates when you actually meant to reload. But don't worry - with the upcoming update, you'll be able to customize your controller settings for all games individually.
Why should you play it?
Well, if you're a fan of the series or want to become one, this is the perfect opportunity. Not only do you get all the main games in one collection, but also a wealth of improvements and new features. For example, the new update finally offers a seamless drop-in, drop-out experience with the Firefight mode.
Theater mode and more
With the update, we've also made a global change to saved films across all games. Theater mode is a feature that the community has used to promote their creativity through clips and screenshots - but it's also been a great way to explore details of different level spaces and character models.
- Halo 4 Theater mode: For the tenth anniversary of Halo 4 last November, we announced that we wanted to get Theater mode up and running for both the campaign and Spartan Ops of Halo 4. These efforts have finally paid off.
- Controller configuration: With this upcoming update, you can individually configure your controller for all games. So if you're feeling confused between MCC and Halo Infinite, you're in good hands - there's a control scheme for that.
