So, what exactly is this Skirmish mode? Well, it's a special introductory experience for new players. This mode allows you to jump right into the action and experience some of the core mechanics of Hell Let Loose - but with fewer moving parts.
The Features of the Skirmish Mode
Imagine a faster 50vs50 experience, perfect for a part of our core audience who just wants to jump into the battle and play a few games. But don't worry, even though you're in the thick of it, communication and teamwork are still crucial to your success.

Victory Conditions and More Information
Both teams start with control over their half of the map, while the middle sector is neutral. Your goal? Capture and hold the capture point and maintain control when time runs out. Sounds simple, right?
To better prepare you for your mission, here are some additional details:
- The duration of a match is 40 minutes with a 3-minute warm-up time
- The Skirmish mode takes place on a smaller map. Playable area is 1.4km x 1.12km (10x8 Skirmish Grid)
- Sectors and grid sizes are also smaller to reflect the new map size
- Skirmish mode introduces a new type of garrison called Outpost. Outposts have a spacing rule of 140 meters from each other
How to Participate
Check your Steam library for the Hell Let Loose (Public Testing) application or download it again from the Steam Store. You can try out the new game mode once you're in and have selected a server.
