Hogwarts Legacy was supposed to come out for PS4 and Xbox One in just under two months, but now that release date has been pushed back again, as the developers have announced.
The release of the last-gen version of the game will be delayed by another two months, according to the developers at Avalanche Software. The reasons for this decision are not given in the tweet, but forums are speculating that the performance on the older console generations still needs some fine-tuning. This would mean that, as things stand, the game will be released on April 4, 2023.
The Nintendo Switch Version
However, Switch and Potter fans will be getting some good news. It has been revealed when the game will be coming out for the Nintendo Switch. The release for the handheld will be just under five months later, on July 25, 2023.
Current-gen console owners have nothing to worry about either. Hogwarts Legacy will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on Steam and other platforms on February 10, 2023, as planned. If you've pre-ordered the Deluxe or Collector's Edition, you'll even get access to the game as early as February 7.
