Homeworld 3 developers have released a new 4-minute gameplay trailer featuring extended gameplay with gigantic spaceships, radio conversations, and battle scenes between smaller groups of spaceships.
The trailer is called Kesura Oasis and is an excerpt from the campaign mode of Homeworld 3. In this campaign, a group of hostile Raiders attacks a resource-collecting and repair mission. Also on board is a mothership that resembles a flying wing.
An important aspect of the trailer is maneuvering around structures in space and how this can be used to advantage in combat. At the same time, you can see how resources are collected to get further upgrades or even take over enemy ships.
But the highlight of the trailer is the battle between the two motherships of the Raiders and the defenders. In this, both small escort ships are used and the defenders have to use resource collectors to be able to send more ships. During the course of the battle, larger escort ships are also sent into combat. Only with the destruction of the Raider ships does the battle end.
Homeworld 3 is scheduled to be released on Steam and Epic Games in 2023.
