With a lovingly designed open world and a combat system that doesn't get boring even after many hours of gameplay, Ubisoft Quebec caused a surprise success with the release of Immortals: Fenyx Rising in December 2020. The action-adventure based on Greek mythology with Zelda atmosphere lets you face off against creatures and monsters in boss battles. The first DLC "A New God" was released on January 28, 2021.
Your Place in Olympus
"A New God" begins after the end of the main story. You find yourself with your character Fenyx in Olympus again. If you want to make a place for yourself here, you have to master various tests of Zeus and other Greek gods.
This includes puzzles based on magnetism and electricity that are more challenging than the sliding puzzles from the main game. "A New God" contains less story content, but functions as an epilogue to the main story.
New Heroes, New Stories
The next DLC "Myths of the Eastern Realm" is said to provide a new story based on Chinese mythology that you experience from the perspective of a hero named Ku. In the third DLC "The Lost Gods", you return to the world of Greek mythology. However, you find yourself in the role of another hero than Fenyx and explore the world from a top-down perspective. A release date for these two expansions is not yet known. However, they could possibly be released as late as summer 2021.
