Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - First hints at possible sequel

In early 2018, Deep Silver released the video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance in collaboration with Warhorse Studios, which was very popular. Now rumors have surfaced about a possible sequel to the medieval role-playing game.

A Mysterious Sign
A few months ago, the first clues about a possible sequel to the game were provided by a picture of a sign reading "KCD2 - 1506". Fans suspect that the number might be the year in which the new RPG would be set. If that were the case, the protagonist would be someone other than in the first part, as the sequel would take place 103 years later. That would also mean that players could experience the end of the Middle Ages.

However, so far the developers have not confirmed whether there will be a sequel. There are no plans for a sequel at the moment, according to Warhorse Studios. However, no other projects or DLCs for the first part have been announced either.
A post on social media showing a man in a motion capture suit armed with a sword caused even more speculation in early April. Fans suspect that work on the animation may have already begun.
Despite the promising sign, not much is known yet. It is not known whether the game will be set in other places than in the first part, or whether the player will take on the role of a descendant of Henry, the protagonist of the first part. All the information known so far is highly speculative, especially with regard to the meaning of the numbers on the sign.
It is also doubtful whether anything will change in the near future at the developer's, as Warhorse Studios was bought by publisher THQ Nordic last year.

The information available so far on a possible successor is therefore very rare and has not yet been confirmed by the developers that work on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 would actually be in progress. So it remains exciting what is being worked on behind closed doors at Warhorse Studios.

Especially the loyal fans of the first part, who also supported the crowdfunding project from the beginning, would be happy about a sequel. Although not much is known about it yet, it is to be assumed that the second part could also be aimed at role-playing fans and friends of the Middle Ages.
