The animated series League of Legends, Arcane, has revealed the release date of its second season on Netflix, and unfortunately, the show is not coming anytime soon.
League of Legends has recently captured the attention of a new audience outside of its usual community with its animated Netflix series, Arcane. Following the enormous success of the first season, Arcane fans have been eagerly awaiting news about the confirmed release date of the second season. We now know when the show set in the quirky world of Riot Games will get its second season, but unfortunately, it won't be airing anytime soon.

Arcane captured the attention of die-hard League of Legends fans and newcomers to Riot's universe alike when it debuted on Netflix in 2021. The show focuses on iconic champions like Caitlyn, Jinx, and Vi, as the utopian Piltover and the oppressed Zaun collide.
Now, Riot has confirmed that Arcane is canon within the game's lore of Runeterra. The anticipation for the new season is higher than ever. Netflix announced the second season a few months ago and has since provided sporadic previews of what and who we can expect. We know that popular characters like Slico will return in Season 2. And now, we also know when Season 2 will premiere.
The release date of the second season
The second season of Arcane will arrive in November 2024, which leaves a whole year between us and the second part of the show. While the new trailer announcing the date, which was first shown during Geeked Week 2023, reveals that the series is coming next year, it doesn't give away much about the content of the upcoming episodes. All we see in the short clip is Jinx running away.
What to expect in the new season?
The previous season ended with an exciting cliffhanger, and a follow-up teaser suggests that Caitlyn and Vi will come together to stop Jinx. I'm excited to see some of the beloved cast returning, such as Ella Purnell, Hailee Steinfeld, and Katie Leung. Although the wait for Season 2 is long, we have plenty of other LoL-related gameplay content and lore to dive into.
