New Changes in League of Legends
Riot has just released the latest patch notes for the 13.16 update of League of Legends, in which various LoL champions like Akali are being strengthened and others are being weakened.
League of Legends has just received a new update that brings buffs to a variety of champions in the MOBA. Some of these strengthened champions include Akali, Brand, and Milio. However, these buffs come at the cost of some nerfs, as some other League of Legends champions like Naafiri, Shaco, and Tristana have been weakened for better in-game balance.
Akali's Comeback and Other Champion Buffs
It's no secret that champions come and go in terms of popularity as Riot regularly releases updates for LoL to better balance the game. Akali hasn't been doing well, described by the developer as needing "sharper and deadlier weapons in her arsenal with ninja tools." This patch aims to make Akali's energy costs less restrictive during her laning phase and give her trades "more bite." Akali's Q energy costs have decreased and her base damage has increased.
Brand and Milio on the Rise
The new League of Legends patch notes from Riot also detail significant buffs for Brand, as the developer wants to ensure he remains a viable option for the mid-lane. The mana restoration of Brand's passive ability has been increased to help him sustain his mana pools. Other changes to the champion include an increase in AP ratios for his Q and E abilities. His W and R abilities remain unchanged.
Milio is also getting buffed with 13.16, as his Q ability now deals more damage. The base shield strength of his E ability has also been increased.
Nerfs for Naafiri and Shaco
However, there are also some notable nerfs. Naafiri's base armor, attack damage, and attack speed have been reduced. Shaco has also been nerfed with the update: his base mana regeneration has decreased and the mana cost of his W ability has increased.
