Lemnis Gate - Time-based multiplayer game to be discontinued
In sad news for fans of the game "Lemnis Gate," the game's developers have announced that it will be taken off the market on April 11. The game's multiplayer mode will be shut down permanently on July 11. Despite being released just under 2 years ago, the game has not achieved the expected success and will soon disappear from the market. PC players will no longer be able to play the game from July, as announced by the developers of "Lemnis Gate." Console players, on the other hand, will still have access to local multiplayer and training modes. However, it is unlikely that many players have purchased the game. Currently, there are only 5 players in the game, which leaves the developers with no choice but to take the game off the market.

An innovative idea with too few players

"Lemnis Gate" was an interesting and innovative FPS game that had a core mechanic based on time travel. The idea of influencing the actions of the opponent in past rounds was new and refreshing. Robert Zak, a well-known game critic, gave the game an 84% rating in his review. He particularly praised the "smart strategizing" and "skillful shooting". However, he also noted that the game suffered from the low number of players and it was difficult to find a match.

A long list of game closures

The end of "Lemnis Gate" is just one example of the many games that have been taken offline in recent years. There is a long list of games like "Hyperscape", "Babylon's Fall", "Fuser", and many others that have been taken offline in recent months. It remains to be seen whether this will be the end of the trend or if there will be more closures.

It is sad to see a game with so much potential fail due to low player numbers. However, there are many other games that exhibit similar innovation and hopefully will soon achieve the success that "Lemnis Gate" could have had.
