Main Assembly - After brief beta opening, Early Access release is now confirmed

The new Swedish development team Bad Yolk Games has been working on the robot construction game Main Assembly for some time. In the building game you control a drone. This has the ability to build any kind of robot. With a physics-based creation system you can then create your own robots. According to the developers, your imagination should not be limited. The focus is currently on the creation of cars and aircraft of all kinds. From the forklift, over the racing car, to jets everything will be possible. In addition to the construction you also decide on the design, and can program control functions for your robots.

Main Assembly goes into Early Access on June 11th, 2020

When developing the drive systems and design elements for the robots, Bad Yolk Games involved player feedback from the very beginning. After two Closed Betas, the Main Assembly Beta was briefly unlocked for all interested players at the end of March. Meanwhile, the Swedish team is mainly dealing with the problem of friction when driving vehicles. Since every type of robot can be designed and moved through the control functions in Main Assembly, there are always problems keeping the creations under control.

Bad Yolk Games has therefore developed a recognition system that notices when the vehicles leave the ground on one side or the other and counter-steers accordingly. This is important because in Main Assembly it is not only about building, but also about testing the creations. For this purpose, the team has developed a large sandbox in which players can try out their robots. When interacting with the environment, they can also realistically take damage. In addition, there are pre-defined single-player challenges that must be mastered. In addition, the sandbox is open to all players online, so you will encounter other people's robots in the game world. You can also invite people to join you for joint sessions.

Main Assembly focuses on freedom and collaborative development

As already known, not only the sandbox can be experienced together. Rather, it is also possible to construct the robots together with other players. Designs and ideas can also be exchanged with each other. This could please all fans of construction games. Of course, the idea of free construction is based on Minecraft. Main Assembly, however, goes more in the direction of physics-based building games such as Avorion and Construction Simulator through the realistic creation mode.

Main Assembly will be released on Microsoft Windows in Early Access on June 11, 2020. Then you will of course find the cheapest Main Assembly key in our Keyfuchs comparison portal.
