Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - A Villain with an Uncertain Future

Introducing a Classic Villain

In "Marvel's Spider-Man 2," a classic villain makes an appearance, keeping us all on our toes. Our beloved web-slinging heroes, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, face off against numerous villains. But one of these villains has an uncertain storyline that hints at possible sequels or DLCs.

The main story revolves around the Venom symbiote and its connection to Peter Parker and Harry. However, another threat looms in the form of Kraven the Hunter from New York. His family plays a significant role in the game and holds many secrets.

Kraven's Family and Their Secrets

The Kravinoff family, hailing from Volgograd, Russia, has endured many disputes over the years. Kraven's wife, Sasha, pleads with him to abandon his obsession with the "Great Hunt" and return home. However, Kraven's children, Vladimir and Ana Kravinoff, desire to control the family empire and see their mother as an obstacle. Kraven's other son, Nedrocci Tannengarden, refuses to fight and fears the others, which Kraven finds shameful. This ultimately leads to the downfall of the entire Kravinoff family.

The Revelation of Chameleon

However, at the end of the game Marvel's Spider-Man 2, another family member is revealed: Dmitri Smerdyakov, also known as Chameleon. He is the reason the drone data initially appeared corrupted, merging multiple targets into one. The drones captured Chameleon in the midst of one of his holographic transformations, resulting in the collection of data from multiple identities simultaneously.

The Uncertain Future of Chameleon

Despite this revelation, Chameleon's future remains uncertain. With Kraven's demise, he is free from the hunter's threat and roams the streets of New York City. In "Marvel's Spider-Man 3," much of the focus will undoubtedly revolve around Norman Osborn's transformation into the Green Goblin. But what will become of Chameleon? Will he make a return, perhaps as part of a side mission since there is no room for him in the main storyline? Or maybe someone like Norman Osborn will hire Chameleon to destroy the Spider-Men. Whatever happens, we eagerly anticipate Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and the potential future stories involving Chameleon.
