Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - Will there be many changes?

With the so-called Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the popular action role-playing games from the BioWare house are making a comeback. The collection includes technically polished versions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

As admitted as part of the official announcement, the developers of BioWare deliberately decided against a new engine because they wanted to retain the original look of the series. Of course, this does not mean that there are no technical improvements. On the contrary: According to BioWare, you can look forward to new textures, a more stable frame rate, and a display in native 4K resolution and 60FPS, among other things.

In addition, the loading times of the original Mass Effect adventures, which were sometimes quite long, have been significantly reduced in the Legendary Edition. In terms of gameplay, however, everything remained the same. In addition to the classic Mass Effect trilogy, the Legendary Edition basically delivers all the DLCs that were released at the time.

The online multiplayer of Mass Effect 3 and the Pinnacle Station DLC, for which BioWare was unable to find the original source code, are not included.
