Fans of the Metal Gear Solid series may be in for some good news. Reports suggest that a collection of the popular series will be announced at the PlayStation State of Play Event. The collection is set to be released on PC and consoles.
Twitter user oopsleaks had previously mentioned the release of the classic Metal Gear Solid games on Steam in 2023. Dusk Golem, who is known for his industry contacts, confirmed this and added that MGS 1, 2 and 3 will be remastered by Konami and released on all platforms, including Steam and consoles.
The remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3 will be sold separately. However, if the trilogy is bought as a collection, buyers will get additional goodies in the form of MSX versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2 MSX.
The Metal Gear Solid series is a stealth action video game series by Konami, whose first entry was released in 1998 and was directed, produced and written by Hideo Kojima.
