Developer studio 4A Games has confirmed that it is working on a sequel to Metro Exodus. According to insider gaming sources, the game is said to be fully playable and may be unveiled later this year. The game's release is scheduled for 2024.
The game is being developed for the latest console generations and PC and will feature an overhaul of the engine and renderer to make use of ray tracing supported by the new hardware. The focus of the story-driven single-player experience will be on stealth, crafting, resource gathering and more, as fans of "Metro" are accustomed to.
The title begins with a dream sequence in which players wake up and land at their base. Although details about the game are still scarce, we know that "Metro Exodus" was positively reviewed upon its release in 2019 and has sold over 6 million units by December 31, 2022.
Fans of the "Metro" series can look forward to an improved experience and an exciting continuation of the franchise. We'll keep you posted as soon as more information is available.
