Microsoft Flight Simulator - Updates, bug fixes, and a glimpse into the future

Introduction

Hey, flight enthusiasts! Today, let's take a moment to chat about the latest developments of our beloved Microsoft Flight Simulator. There are some exciting news that we want to delve into. So buckle up and get ready for takeoff!

Aircraft Updates

Microsoft has recently released updates for two of their aircraft, the "Local Legend IX: Latécoère Model 631" and the "Famous Flyer VI: Ford AT-4 Trimotor". These updates are designed to enhance your gaming experience and provide an even more realistic flying experience.

Troubleshooting with the Expert Series I

Due to an internal error, a new version (1.0.24) of "Expert Series I: ATR 42-600 / 72-600" was accidentally released. The team has quickly responded and fixed the issue, but if you have downloaded this version, it is recommended to uninstall the aircraft from the Content Manager and download the current version (1.0.20) again. Microsoft apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

No Developer Livestream in July

As previously announced, there will be no monthly developer livestream in July as several team members are unavailable. But don't worry! Instead, the team has created a pre-recorded video where Jorg and some guests will share new information about the Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Community Flight on Friday

  • You can watch this video during the regular Community Fly-In Friday livestream on Microsoft's official Twitch channel.
  • Want to join this group flight? All details on how to participate in the event can be found in the forums of the Microsoft Flight Simulator.
  • The developer video will be played relatively early in the livestream, after the group has taken off and reached cruising altitude.

We hope to see many of you in the Twitch chat on Friday! Until then - happy flying!
