World Update XIII and Expert Series I on the horizon

Attention, virtual aviation enthusiasts! The team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator has news for you. On April 25th, we can expect two exciting releases: World Update XIII: Oceania and Expert Series I: ATR 42-600 / 72-600. This will make the already impressive world of the flight simulator even more interesting and diverse.

Famous Flyer IV manual and upcoming developer livestream

An updated PDF manual for Famous Flyer IV: Antonov An-225 Mriya is now available. You can find it, along with manuals for other aircraft, on the game's official website. Additionally, the next developer livestream has been announced for May 3rd at 5:30pm (UTC). Jorg, Seb, Martial, and other guests will discuss future development plans, update the roadmap, and answer questions from the community.

SDK Update and MSFS Avionics Framework

This week, there is no SDK update, but there are some interesting updates regarding the MSFS Avionics Framework. The latest Avionics Framework source code is available on the MSFS Avionics Source Code Mirror. Additionally, you can find detailed documentation on the Avionics Framework under "MSFS Avionics Frameworks and Instruments". More framework updates are expected soon.

Third-Party Developers in the In-Sim Marketplace and Product Numbers

The Microsoft Flight Simulator continues to attract a growing number of third-party developers in the In-Sim Marketplace. As of April 16th, 209 third-party developers have been approved, with a total of 1,831 products released for PC and 1,540 for Xbox. This brings the total number of products on the marketplace to an impressive 2,945 – a great offering for all fans of the simulator! And there's more: another 882 third-party products are currently in production.

Community Fly-In for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, the Microsoft Flight Simulator community is hosting a special Fly-In event. The focus will be on the cities of Santa Barbara and San Francisco, both of which are directly connected to the origin of Earth Day. Afterwards, the event will continue to the breathtaking Yosemite National Park to enjoy the beauty of nature. The event details are already available, and everyone is welcome to participate!
