Minecraft: Dungeons - a classic dungeon crawler in the Minecraft style!
On May 26, 2020 the new action-adventure Minecraft: Dungeons will be released, set in the extremely popular Minecraft universe. You will have a wide choice of platforms to play on, as the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you happen to own an Xbox One, you will also have the option to play the game through Xbox Game Pass. The game is controlled in the classic way, either with a controller or alternatively mouse and keyboard.
Minecraft: Dungeons can be played with up to four people, both online and together on a couch. If you would rather hack your way through the dungeons alone, you can of course also play in singleplayer mode. The main task of the game is to rescue the captured villagers from the clutches of the "Arch-Illager", who plays the role of the antagonist. This classic hack-and-slash fun is sure to bring back memories of Blizzard's classic "Diablo".
You can make use of a variety of different items and equipment to customise and individualise your character to your taste. In the battles you also have various options and can fall back on different techniques and special attacks. Even the virtual wand can be swung, as Minecraft: Dungeons offers a variety of creative spells. If you manage to collect enough in-game currency, you will be able to re-equip your character on a regular basis. So classic elements of a role-playing game are offered here, veterans should be able to find their way around very quickly.
The game uses the popular and renowned "Unreal Engine 4", which has already been used in modern classics such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Tekken 7, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age or Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Of course, the familiar Minecraft blocky look will be retained, so everyone will be able to immediately recognise that Minecraft: Dungeons is a Minecraft title at first glance.
Minecraft: Dungeons is not the first title to take the Minecraft franchise and transplant it into a completely new genre. Minecraft: Story
