The first spin-off of the legendary Monster Hunter series appeared as early as 2004. Since then, over ten titles in this series have been released for various platforms. A new one is now about to enthuse Switch users with Monster Hunter Rise . They all have one thing in common. Monster Hunter is an action role-playing game in which you take on the namesake monsters and gradually rise through the ranks. You also always collect various items and monster parts. With the materials won, you then produce, for example, better new weapons or healing potions to be able to withstand even stronger creatures.
Now it won't be long until the latest spin-off of the series, which was also developed by Capcom and is called Monster Hunter Rise. The release is planned for March 26, 2021, with Monster Hunter Rise exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. However, Capcom has already announced that there is also a PC version of Monster Hunter Rise in development, which should not be released until 2022.
The basic concept doesn't change much, of course. Here you slip into the role of an unnamed hero and fight your way through a colorful fantasy game world full of monsters. Nevertheless, there is a range of new features that are likely to provide variety even for die-hard fans. For example, now you are accompanied by so-called Palamutes, which you can either ride into battle or to overcome long distances. In addition, the game world is much more vertical, with special monsters here too helping you climb lofty heights.
Monster Hunter Rise therefore brings many new and interesting ideas with it, without throwing the basic concept overboard. This makes the game interesting for both fans of the series and newcomers who also want to go monster hunting on the go.
