Monster Hunter World: Iceborn will release on January 9th, 2020 on Steam for PC. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of the expansion released on September 6th, 2019.
Developer Capcom recently released a new trailer for the expansion. The PC version has some improvements over the console versions. You can look forward to high-resolution textures in 4K, an unlimited frame rate, support for ultra-wide-screen monitors and TVs, and DirectX 12 support. In addition, Capcom has also optimized keyboard and mouse controls for the PC.

What does the Iceborn expansion include?
The new Hoarfrost Reach area
The winter map is the largest area in Monster Hunter World so far and must be unlocked in the new DLC campaign. Hoarfrost Reach is located in a icy region and is submerged in the deepest snow. You will lose stamina much faster than usual here and will have to refresh it with hot drinks. But there are also some hot springs in the region that can warm you up again. You know the opposite already with the cold drinks from the hot areas of the game.
In Hoarfrost Reach you will find the new Seliana base, which serves as a refuge where you can also craft and manage equipment.
