The action-RPG Monster Hunter: World was released on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In August 2018, the version for all PC players finally appeared on Steam. The game was developed by Capcom, which is also the publisher of the game. Monster Hunter: World is particularly popular in Japan (about 80% of sales came from Japan alone).
Basically, as the name suggests, the game is to be classified as a classic hunting game. You go monster hunting and loot them after you have successfully defeated the creature. Then you work your way through the loot and a sophisticated and comprehensive crafting system in the difficulty level of the monsters and try to fight them.
The battles don't follow a fixed schema, because each monster has its own special characteristics and each battle will challenge you in a new way. Improve your equipment, your weapons and your skills as a monster hunter. Because you won't be able to stop wanting to defeat stronger monsters. The fight against the different boss monsters will be a special challenge. And if that's not enough, Monster Hunter: World's hard mode will give you a really tough task.
A big part of the player experience in Monster Hunter: World is the believable environment. It can happen that the environment is against you and you become easy prey for monsters because of the influence of nature. Or maybe nature is on your side for once and kills a monster for you by collapsing caves. A lot can happen and that's what makes the game world of Monster Hunter: World so realistic. And the detailed representation makes the game visually a pleasure.
The game is demanding at the beginning, but if you master it, you will have a lot of fun. Because getting to know your weapons, your equipment and the dynamic conditions almost forces you to constantly improve and continue playing.
